Famagusta Shelter App Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By using the Famagusta Shelter app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Scope of the Service

The app:

• Provides information about the animals at the shelter,
• Enables you to submit an adoption application,
• Allows you to submit animal welfare reports,
• Enables you to track the status of applications and reports,
• Helps you to contact the shelter.

Submitting an application via the app does not guarantee that the animal will be adopted. Applications are processed subject to the shelter’s assessment, the animal’s condition and the procedures in force.

3. Animal Information

Animals’ condition, health details, suitability, location and adoption status may change. We endeavour to keep the information in the app as up to date as possible; however, we cannot guarantee that all information is always complete, accurate or current.

4. Animal Welfare Reports

Animal welfare reports are intended to assist the shelter’s investigation and intervention processes. The app is not an emergency service, ambulance, police or veterinary emergency service.

In urgent or life-threatening situations, please contact the relevant emergency services directly.

Do not submit reports that are deliberately false, misleading, malicious or likely to cause harm to others.

5. User Responsibilities

Users must:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information,
• Not share other people’s personal information without their consent,
• not to upload photographs or content without authorisation,
• not to breach the security of the application,
• not to use the application in a manner contrary to the law or the rights of others,
• to keep application references and contact details confidential

agree to the above.

6. User Content

You declare that you hold the necessary rights to submit any descriptions, photographs and other content you send to the application.

You authorise us to use the content you submit for the purposes of assessing, recording, reviewing and finalising adoption applications or animal welfare reports. Your content will not be used for public advertising or promotional purposes without your consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the App, website, texts, logos, designs, images and software belong to Gazimağusa Municipality or the relevant rights holders.

Unauthorised copying, reproduction, modification, distribution or commercial use is prohibited.

8. Availability of the Service

There is no guarantee that the application will operate without interruption or error. The service may be temporarily suspended for reasons including maintenance, security, technical faults or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

No specific outcome is guaranteed regarding the use of information within the application, the outcome of adoption applications, or the response time to submitted welfare reports.

Subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law, no liability is accepted for indirect damages arising from the use of the application.

10. Restriction of Accounts and Access

Access may be temporarily or permanently restricted for users who breach the Terms of Use or threaten the security of the application.

11. External Links

The application may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of these sites.

12. Amendments

These Terms of Use may be updated as necessary. The current version shall take effect from the date it is published on the application or website.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the extent applicable. The competent courts and authorities for any disputes are the Gazimağusa Courts and Enforcement Offices.
